Our Beginnings
People often ask how Gutenberg’s Echo got started. Here’s my answer.
Words matter. They’re powerful. And that old saying, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me,” is a lie. Words can hurt. But they can also heal. Words shape reality. They incite riots, write laws, fuel hate, and spread love. They divide and unite, destroy and rebuild.
I read a lot. And through that reading, I’ve seen writers and artists do incredible work-work that challenges, illuminates, and inspires.
I wanted to contribute to that legacy. To bring great writers and artists together in one place. Gutenberg’s Echo is the result.
This magazine isn’t just about looking good (though it does); it’s about fostering deep thought and lasting impact. It’s meant to make a person think—really think.
In a world of endless scrolling, 10-second clips, and surface-level chatter, I wanted to create something that slows you down. That sparks imagination. That invites new perspectives. That stirs something deeper.
Because if we can remember that we are human, connected across time and experience, maybe we can build something better. Something lasting. Something for those who come after us.
I hope each issue of Gutenberg’s Echo is a small part of that better future.
